Fred is Clerk of the Executive Council and Cabinet Secretary.
He began his career in 1997 and spent the following years in progressive leadership roles within the government department responsible for environmental stewardship before moving onto subsequent Deputy Minister roles’ in Conservation and Water Stewardship, Municipal Relations, Crown Services, and Sustainable Development. He was appointed Associate Clerk of the Executive Council in 2015 and assumed the role of Clerk in 2017.
Fred believes in work life balance, values time with his family and volunteers in his community. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science, both from the University of Manitoba.
